Our students begin their preparation to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in their freshman year of high school, receiving the sacrament in their sophomore year. It is further expected that unless your child has attended one of our Diocesan Catholic Schools, they have been actively participating in a Faith Formation Program for the 8 years prior to their entry into our Confirmation Program. Please note that Canon Law provides some very specific guidelines for selecting a Sponsor for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Since this is always a source of concern and tension, it is very important that you review these requirements with Fr. Murphy before asking anyone to serve in this very special spiritual role.

Further information about our Confirmation program can be found by calling the parish office at (508) 824-5577. The parish is the center of faith formation for Catholics. Every person in your pews, every Catholic in your parish community…child or adult…is on their own journey toward Christ and a life of discipleship.
